Our school is delighted to be involved in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP). This programme gives the children in 5th class the opportunity to experience practical, real-life business in a fun and enjoyable way.

The programme runs over a 12 to 16 week period during the school year and it inspires creativity, independence and problem solving among the children while blending into the primary school curriculum.

Under their teacher’s guidance, and with the inspiration of local entrepreneurs (dragons), the children discover their strengths as individuals and as part of a team. As a team, they choose, invest in and produce their own product or service from scratch, all the way to making it available for sale at a school JEP Showcase Day while also getting to enjoy the profits!

This year our two 5th classes ran very successful businesses. Ms. Lyne’s class created SnaCMAsh Jewellery & Card Catastrophe selling charm bracelets, keyrings and a unique, class-designed card game. Mr. Wallace’s class created a business selling school-branded beanies. Well done to both classes!
