Accelerated Reader is currently used in Third and Fourth Class. It is a powerful online tool for monitoring and managing independent reading practice, as well as motivating the children to read for pleasure.

The children read books based on ability, challenging enough to keep them engaged but not frustrated. When finished, they take an online quiz based on their book and receive immediate feedback, showing them their progress and motivating them to continue to build their reading skills.

Accelerated Reader Assessments also allow the teacher to track a child’s progress and identify areas of concern. It is a great resource in providing a consistent approach to reading and more importantly, developing a love of reading.
