About Us

Welcome to Scoil na Coroine Mhuire Ashford

We are a Catholic school. The aim of our school is to create a Christian community where children are enabled to grow and develop spiritually, morally and emotionally and to learn in an atmosphere of care and welcome.

School Ethos

The staff of Scoil na Coróine Mhuire is fully committed as a united and professional team to prepare our boys and girls to fully participate in society and to encourage each child to realize their full potential. Our school ethos is based upon a respect for Religious and Moral Values and the development of the whole child embracing intellectual, emotional, spiritual and physical training. We strive to create a school environment where each child will feel secure, confident and happy. We view the school as an extension of the home and value the support and assistance of parents towards realising our aims.

The old school was built in 1952, as a two teacher school. In 1980, the new school was built with 6 classrooms, an all purpose room and an office.  In 1998 another classroom was added to the old building.  In 2002, 2006, 2007 , 2009  and 2012 temporary classrooms were erected. In 2013  a new school building was erected with 4 new classrooms. Our school has developed rapidly in recent years creating many interesting spaces in amongst the larger buildings. We hope to develop these spaces in imaginitive ways as we endeavour to inspire our children. We are very proud of our school & it's grounds.
